Pain of seperation

It was Saturday evening.

As she sipped her coffee, sweet memories of the first time they met, began to surface. She began to smile slyly. She remembered, in his first word to her, how her heart missed a beat. When their eyes met, the shyness that filled her. The day when she saw his brown eyes twinkle in the light of the moon, and how his smile would tear away all her pain.

Just then, the waiter came, and asked if she wanted anything else. She came to senses, and realized it was only memories that remained. She was alone today, he was not by her side. He was gone, gone to another city, away from her.

Slowly tickling the tear in her eye, she slides the phone from her pocket, and smiles – ‘I miss you’, the message read. 🙂
